Most people carry a water bottle everywhere they go these days. In fact, it has become the second most popular drink (behind soft drinks). Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids. Your body is composed of about 60% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature. It’s no wonder that promotional water bottles is an amazing choice for promotional gifts!
This is a follow up blog post to our guide to promotional mugs. In this blog post we will talk about material, shape, printing on custom water bottles.
As one of the most popular material on earth, plastic water bottles come in all shapes, colors and sizes in custom water bottles. There are a few things you may have heard of. All plastic water bottles are now BPA-Free. BPA stands for Bisphenol A, a chemical that is often found in consumer goods. However, a growing amount of research links Bisphenol A to some major health concerns, such as a higher risk of certain cancers, reduced fertility, diabetes, and birth defects. They eventually led to a California ban on BPA. All bottles are now BPA-Free water bottles.
Some promotional plastic water bottles are made of PET plastic (polyethylene terephthalate); it is BPA-Free, and it is the plastic most commonly used in single-use plastic water bottles as well.
Tritan Copolyester is a thermoplastic developed by Eastman Chemicals in 2007. Tritan is neutral in taste, food-safe, heat-resistant, break-proof and dishwasher-safe up to 80°C. It’s also produced without any harmful plasticizers such as Bisphenol A (BPA) and Bisphenol S (BPS). Tritan water bottles are hard plastic, looks like glass and are break resistant.
Since plastic water bottles are usually the least expensive, they are a good option for promotional giveaway in outdoor events or summer events.
Many people think glass is the best material for water bottles. Glass is recyclable. It is chemical-free, made from natural materials, and dishwasher safe. There are different types of glass water bottles, some water bottles are covered with silicone to prevent breakage. Borosilicate glass water bottles is the best kind of glass water bottles. It is lighter and less prone to break.
Aluminum and stainless steel custom water bottles may look similar. However there are significant differences between the two types of promotional water bottles materials. Aluminum water bottles are obviously made of aluminum, which will react with certain types of liquids. Therefore on the inside of the promotional aluminum water bottles there is a plastic liner layer. Some are BPA liners and some are not. So be sure to look for one with BPA-free liners. Aluminum water bottles are generally lighter, less expensive than stainless steel water bottles and not dishwasher safe.
Custom stainless steel water bottles are made with food grade stainless steel. It is not reactive with liquids so there are no liners inside the bottles. Look inside your stainless steel water bottle, it should just be stainless as well! It is also dishwasher safe. Double walled stainless steel tumblers can keep drinks hot or cold for hours.
Some water bottles serve double duty and can be a great way to distinguish from a sea of custom water bottles. Infuser water bottles flavors the water with fresh fruit or tea. Shaker bottles come with a blender ball to mix protein powder or other supplement with water. Growlers are traditionally used for transporting beer, but the large capacity can be used for water and other drinks too. Wine tumblers are shaped like a stemless wine glass. They keep hot / cold drinks for hours, and can hold a lot more than just wine! Tumblers with straws especially useful for sipping cold coffee, juice or tea.
