Swire Ho was recently a guest on the Evolution of Brand, hosted by Jason Cercone. Swire and Jason chatted about customer relationships, finding target audience, retaining existing customers and an effective customer onboarding program.
3 Key Points to Building Long Term Customer Relationships
Identify your target audience: The earlier you are able to pinpoint your target audience, the better. It will change your whole narrative from website, branding, marketing, sales efforts to be more precise and effective. All of your content will be on point and it will cater to your target audience specific needs. It will be put you in a niche position where the people who are in the market looking for the work you do will have no problem finding you.
Survey your existing clients for feedback: After you finish a project with a client, always ask about their experience and feedback. These are people who have expressed interests from your company and have first-hand experience about what you have to offer. Their comments about the experience can help you refine, tweak your process so that it will continue to improve over time.
Create customer onboarding process: make your new clients feel right at home from the start such as a customer onboarding gift set. This will make them feel the value of your brand and keep them loyal and become your very own brand advocates.
