Case study of how we created a custom corporate gift set for VIP executives who are located all over the world
Big picture: Our client is a global consulting firm spanning across all continents of the world. At the end of the year they wanted to show appreciation for some key employees with a custom executive gift with company logo. They will then be packaged and shipped to each location.

Our process: The client came to us at the end the year having some ideas about sending a custom corporate gift set to some executives. Initially they were considering wine glasses and tumblers. Concerns about breakage and increased shipping costs were raised and we made some suggestions of our own. Since they are all executives from each office, we recommended name brand items such as Moleskine hard cover notebook and Cross executive ball pens. With the gift recipients residing in different parts of the world, it is important and effective to use name brands for the reputation and name recognition.
Once the items have been decided we moved onto designs and mockup phase. Whenever we are putting together a gift set, we always recommend creating a custom notecard with a special message. When the recipient receives the package he/she will know who to thank.
Finally, we worked on the distribution part of the project. The distribution list of the corporate gift sets covers 6 continents, 22 countries, it posed some challenges. Each country has unique import requirements, we needed to make sure that the import documents are correctly filled out. Our shipping department went through each country’s importing guidelines for prohibited items, duty and taxes and other requirements. For a few countries we used specialized carriers with more complicated rules we used special carriers to ensure a smooth delivery.
Campaign Success: After all the corporate gifts were sent out, we tracked them to make sure they were all delivered. All the global recipients received the gifts and they were off to a great start of the year. The client was very appreciative of the efforts we put in to distribute the gifts globally.
